Monthly SHIF contribution
How SHIF works
SHIF replaced NHIF in October 2024. It is 2.75% of gross monthly pay with a KES 300 minimum and no upper limit. Employers deduct it and remit it to the Social Health Authority. It is tax-deductible, so it lowers PAYE.
