Overtime pay calculator Kenya
Work out overtime for weekday hours at 1.5 times and rest day or public holiday hours at 2 times.
How overtime is worked out
Kenyan law expects overtime on normal working days to be paid at 1.5 times the normal hourly rate and work on rest days or public holidays at 2 times. The hourly rate depends on how monthly pay is converted. Many employers use 225 hours, but your contract or the wage order for your sector may differ, so you can change it above.
Overtime is added to gross pay and taxed, so run the total through the PAYE calculator.
Then run the total through the PAYE calculator and use the final dues calculator when someone leaves.
